Case Studies and examples of works:

Stockport Project

Built in the 1970s, these three detached blocks had a flat roof area at the front with a tiled roof draining down into the flat roofs. There was a problem with persistent leaks from the flat roofs with internal rainwater pipes causing damage to the interior of the top apartments. The solution was a complete review of the problem and the design of a roof system to remove the flat roofs and install complete new tiled roofs. The roofs include new rainwater goods, all draining externally. The fascias and soffit were all renewed in PVCU to ensure a long term maintenance-free exterior.

Manchester Project

Built in the late 1960s, these two detached blocks of flats have large flat roof areas with rainwater downpipes passing within part of the internal structure. Leaks causing internal damage were difficult to repair effectively due to the age of the drainage components and the construction detail. The solution was a re-routing of rainwater downpipes to the exterior of the building combined with a complete re-covering of the original roof. The required Section 20 notices (a legal requirement) were issued and the contract works were then carried out. The repair work has resulted in a successful solution for the roof structure.
